Front & Backyard Makeover

With plans in the works to convert her tool shed into a tiny-house, accessory dwelling unit, this Edgewood client was looking for a full landscape renovation with all paths leading to the shed. We got right to work creating a fifty foot flagstone stepping path leading to the back yard, which then transitioned into a sixty foot flagstone walkway for an added, upscale hardscaping feature. We chose flagstone with a yellow tint to accent the yellow paint color of the house and shed, and highlighted the path further with dark mulch and creeping ground covers. We also removed the grass in the front yard and replaced it with creeping ajuga for a no-mow lawn alternative.

In total, we planted five blackberry vines, seven blueberry bushes, two pawpaw trees, one serviceberry tree, one edible dogwood tree, and dozens of native shrubs and flowering perennials.
